You say you don’t believe that God predestined certain people for destruction, therefore you agree with the Scripture:
Genesis 2:27-31
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
29 And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
God created man for glory. One could rightly say that God created the original man for glory. It is at this very point where many have inquired into predestination; conceiving the ill notion that God created and predestined people for the lake of fire. However, this hypothesis completely breaks down when one reads Genesis 3:27-31.
The question arises, therefore, what is the origin of those described in the following Scriptural verses?
Romans 9:22
What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Hebrews 3:10-11
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
Ephesians 5:6
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
The “vessels of wrath fitted for destruction” did not originate at the point where God created Adam and Eve; they came in at the fall described:
Genesis 3:1-7
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.
The children of disobedience originated at the fall owing to Satan’s guise and Adam and Eve’s rebellion against God. It is precisely at this point sin came into the world as we know it.
Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
To say that God predestined man for the lake of fire is to frame God Himself for man’s demise-the suggestion is monstrous! Fault rests entirely with man who was living a life of bliss; in perfect communion with God. Man questioned God’s supremacy and became a fool; subject to life not under the sovereignty of God but under the dominion of Satan. There is no predestination regarding man for the lake of fire, whatever. There is predestination only for those who experience rebirth, baptism by the Holy Ghost in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ.
Above, Romans 5:12 singly marks grave implications regarding sin and its motley demonstrations.
Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
Revelation 19:15
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Something radical has to happen in order that man may begin afresh, and enter a right relationship with God the Father.
God’s dear Son, Jesus Christ left the courts of heaven and took on human nature, offered Himself a perfect sacrifice. Jesus Christ, the Author of Life scorned, beaten, spat upon, scourged, nailed to a tree, pierced, shed His saving blood, and died. Only this was not the end as the Father raised Him declaring satisfaction with the perfect work of His blessed Son, Jesus Christ, who lived a sinless life here on earth in order to save many.
The summary of historical facts in the preceding paragraph pertains to those called by the Father; ordained to enter the eternal glory that is to come.
John 6:44
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
What of those destined {not predestined} for eternal destruction? Surely, we are not callow regarding the Scriptural teaching that eternal damnation is a reality for many. Where do these people come from?
Acts 26:18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
Our Lord and Master addressing certain Scribes and Pharisees in John 8:44. The words of our Savior take us immediately back to the Garden of Eden, Satan, the fall of humanity. Clearly, those our Savior spoke to had not up to that point experienced the rebirth in their lives. There is no way back to the Garden of Eden apart from rebirth.
Predestination only pertains to those called into being by God since the fall of humanity.
John 10:25-30
25 Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father’s name, they bear witness of me.
26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.
30 I and my Father are one.
