Dividing Vines

One extreme joins another

Sovranty fain to smother

“I say right,” and “I speak true.”

One and all without a clue

Wet with pride, pompous decrees

“Missing the woods for the trees,”

Golden mean, quaint habitat

Lay to rest that cold high-hat

You can’t miss; neither can they

Charge the worthies to convey

Framed within all things abstract

A lief faith in lieu of fact
