Program, excite, release. Observe the modern automaton execute the code in a machine-like manner. 

Standardized humanoids agree that the historical record of humanity involves a progression from simian ape to primitive wage slave. And after a brief span of six-million years (give or take), it seems humanity has reached the pinnacle of this evolutionary process with violent behavior and avarice in tow. The preservation of brutality and greed makes the climb even more notable, as one might have reasoned murder, robbery, and assault were indeed contrary to uprightness. 

Leastwise, the amount of cheap time and precious money given over to entertainment affirms the aforementioned perspective of having reached the summit. Whether in public or private, mortal deities immerse themselves in the friendly cloud; accessing data, often with just a spoken word. Alakazam! 

Credit the leadership of powerful, wealthy do-gooders for the rare set of written instructions animating the equally liable and tractable flock of followers. Indeed, the industrial revolutions of the mid-18th and 19th centuries generated pandemonium. Creatures travelling hither and dither by order, eating, drinking, amusing and abusing themselves. The pursuit of self-satisfaction ever advancing amid savagery, covetousness, and lewdness. 

“Happy” is the title of a 2013 massive lyrical hit reeking of egocentrism. Unbound happiness (like footloose depression) is an absurdity, suggestive of an unbalanced psyche. Yet another example of waste matter passing through the bowels of the music industry, squatting on the frigid toilet bowl of society. And according to sales receipts, when the song “plopped”, the begrimed public rejoiced.

Think of a report card. responsible people concentrate most on their setbacks to improve. Yet glorying in successes while neglecting failures (“Don’t Worry, Be Happy”) leaves no chance for improvement. Underneath these melodic ripples of optimism lies a prevailing current drifting further from reality. Such is the subtlety of Lucifer et al., leveraging inherent human frailty as we’re fain to distance ourselves from ourselves. Hence the appeal of simulation (radio, T.V., portable wireless phones, internet apps, and websites), providing an alternative to our increasingly unnatural surroundings. Human failings we categorize as mere glitches, placing investigation on hold under the pretext that mankind may suddenly transcend evilness and embody righteousness.

One credits human intelligence with awe-inspiring innovations. Intelligence behind creation, however, is not so easily ascribable. Indeed, willful people conclude their inspection of creation by specifying plain ignorance. Some vague, senseless force produced such a variety of living organisms, ordered the entire cosmos, and instilled in humans the persistent, universal sense of right and wrong. Nay, some admit to a spirit shrouded in darkness, ignorant of the reality on Earth. One like themselves.
