Certain people concede that political candidates claiming to worship God may attain the highest offices in the land. Yet, for inexplicable reasons, political candidates who worship Satan sub rosa may never rise above the office of local sheriff.
In conversing with political activists swearing to be Christian, they believe they have a mandate to prevail, set the world right. They start with themselves and the alleged pious conduct of “leading lights.” Theatricals concerning religiosity find their mark with the fraught masses that swoon over mere mortals they’ve never met, nor likely ever will. Thus, betraying themselves as simple varlets.
Overshadowed by a lack of humility and unwillingness to accept punishment for their iniquity (Leviticus 26:41), a yen to remain in this world of relative ease predominates. Hence, suppression of biblical passages, such as Psalm 146:3, “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” Matthew 7:15, “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Or 2 Corinthians 11:14, “And no marvel, for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”
Central governments engage in two fundamental practices: legislating for the masses and spending taxpayer money. And for every national who often researches proposed legislation—to include appropriations measures—and communicates with government officials, there are a million who don’t even dare. People communicate regularly with their employers, friends, and families, yet may go through an entire lifetime without corresponding with their civic representatives.
The average voter, therefore, is vacuous, acting on faith while spurning fact. This explains unabated deficit spending and warfare advanced outside the bounds of the celebrated U.S. Constitution. For every resident who maintains that government officials should adhere to the “supreme law of the land” and practice fiscal responsibility, there are a million who remain cavalier.
Consider certain erstwhile rebels of the Soviet Union, Italy, Germany, Cambodia, and Uganda, who inhabited the highest governmental offices. These overt figures make their covert equals seem trifling. Nay, they are shades of their ever-looming masked colleagues. “Visions” wielded to frighten the masses enveloped in darkness.
Rogues manipulate swords and pens, and those favoring pens are the most heinous and yet, least appreciated.
