Perplexity surfaces on the faces of certain people upon learning that others do not share their zeal for touchscreen phones. A queer insinuation: zealots are exemplars for all. “I have consecrated tech like any sober, wise person.”
The U.S. became the whirld’s cardinal economic, political, military power without these wonders. Marriage, family, education, travel, employment, illness, death, criminality, politics, creeds, wars, treaties… Nothing new under the sun.
It is a grave error to be without a cellular phone. When confronted with their profligate use, enthusiasts espouse that they’re conducting some sort of business (no time for trivial matters).
These pursuits amount to guilty pleasures. True reconciliation embarrasses, so fanatics rather engage in playacting, not wanting to admit weakness, shallow analysis regarding chimeric stimuli which proffers to enrich life, of which people seem to be in dire need.
The need for enrichment relates to misguided central authorities piling up monetary debt and disbanding the principle of checks and balances (judiciary and legislative branches ceding authority to the executive). So, a dictatorial state at odds with the famed U.S. Constitution. Couple the ruling classes’ fiscal irresponsibility, disdain for the supreme law of the land with the hoi polloi’s lack of wherewithal to counter intelligently, and counterfeit reality grows into a paragon. Both factions, comprising leaders and followers, prove incapable of righteousness.
Not happenstance, merely fortuitous, this revolution of strengthening technology and weakening humanity: guiding lights aside, elites cultivate these trends and remain immune to the prevailing‘idle syndrome’ and certain other disorders.
There is no shortage of truth. Rather, there is a shortage of people willing to accept the truth. Hence, U.S. society, for example, plays deaf and dumb to miscarriages of lawfulness. The risk of coming down with truth prevents substantive thought. In make-believe, however, all is well.
Most people feign independence. The garb, for instance, of these pretenders tells otherwise, for all don pre-made articles. The same principle renders every primitive essential. To conflate buying with building, even creating, means existing in an imaginary whirld where one amounts to something. Fallen creatures yearn to add to their puny stature to the extent of twisting reality. Yet, if average people have bearing, then those governing over the masses rate as supreme beings. This is very subtle and explains injustices and why the hoi polloi feels inadequate to cope with their perceived “masters.” If people maintained the correct—albeit unflattering—view of themselves, they would keep the correct stance on politics.
Drifting off into an imaginary world perpetuates the inherent grim reality. We are not living but dying.
