Strand: a pattern forming a unity within a greater structural whole
As the world becomes smaller, likewise inhabitants. Hence, society’s yen for social media.
Pride is high maintenance; one must add to one’s stature daily, and diminishing natural, well-restraining resources yields a reciprocal, simulated reality. A new, smaller lens through which to view life at work, home, and in between, via mobile phones supplying the rebels’ demand for hearsay and diversion, thus occupying the forsaken mind. In the blink of an eye, acquaintances emerge as friends, opinions take on historic significance; mundane happenings turn into newsworthy events. Turn on, verify, and soar to imagined heights in Arcadia.
Natural geographic barriers limit the extent to which revolutionaries can unite. “Fantastical air” hurdles every mountain, river, desert, and ocean, however. And so, spanning the globe is a worldwide web of hypocrisy.
Fleeced of the ability to fend for themselves, rioters pantomime for money to pay for their novel surroundings and enrich scheming architects. Untethered from reality (favoring money over providence), multitudes coil without demur around simulation as called upon by alternative practitioners.
Rather than direct dependence on providence (hunting, gathering…), radicals glorify a state of co-dependence. Indeed, banking on acquisitive entities to produce ready-made essentials. It gets worse, for the masses revere themselves as independent, which is just delusional. Like describing oneself as a “taxpayer.” (People pay income taxes under threat of penalty, even imprisonment. Otherwise, taxes prevail by arbitrary deductions, with rates determined by governing officials).
Tax appliance, or tax tool, rather than taxpayer; and dependent rather than independent. Ah, but there’s no delight in such verity. For the sake of hallowed pride, therefore, agitators insist on apocryphal designations, becoming aliens to prudence and drowning in discord.
Leastwise, dependence on money means binding with those that control it, to shift one’s verve, animation from providence to humankind. Activities parallel to the small mental capacity of humans. So, in stages (timing is essential), actions will hinge on human intelligence, i.e., statistics, information, news. (Let’s not embrace statistics that may show a rise in Christianity, for the prevailing lens is even smaller given the aforesaid shift, making for a suitably small-scale belief).
Competency to live indeed is greater among people than intelligence, for intellect has a broader range of variance from one to another. Among a thousand people, all can manage subsistence, yet few can develop a meticulous educational curriculum covering several age groups, let alone a charter that regulates a nation of people.
This may explain how 560 chosen officials comprising the three branches of government disbanded the Constitution without a challenge from the population of 260 million adults. Nay, the military is still serving with intent. Regarding the small contingent of rulers, that’s smart!
If governors and those governed don’t uphold republicanism, then who will? If the spirit of republicanism doesn’t define American society, then what does? Why the shift? Who instituted this change in principles?
Answers come via analysis, and acceptance of certain truths from humility. Humility, however, is sorely lacking by design, yielding intense denial (aliens to prudence drowning in discord).
The negation of checks and balances concerning acts of war took place after WWII, thus placing U.S. society on a new platform, a move just as significant as the formation of the Union in the 18th century. Recently, the manner was flagrant, without pretense. Yet just as striking is the public’s muted response contrasted with 1788 society, which engaged in deliberation regarding the merits of the proposed Constitution.
The current posture of arch “representatives” augurs more flagrant abuses against the Constitution and society, augmented by the clumsily entitled Freedom Act of 2015, which is a derivative of the awkwardly labeled Patriot Act of 2001. Key to one’s interpretation of the two axe is that the definition of “terrorist” remains malleable. For instance, anybody rejecting certain CDC recommendations during the Corona crusade fell under the designation of terrorist according to DHS.
The state of the United States shows that a standing army is unnecessary to conquer a nation. Pride followed by extravagance proves more injurious than any rapier. Having exalted intelligence, the masses further subordinated judgment. For instance, government debt grew from 5.8 trillion in 2001 to 30.8 trillion by 2022, an average growth of over 1 trillion per year. Then there is the government sellout (handout, checkout, runout) of 2008. Still, over half the voting-age population participates in presidential elections, thus declaring faith in the arced system.
Voting is a sound principle, yet unsound voters make it an absurdity.
