It is common for people to compare themselves to others. Common folk do not compare themselves to the elite on a conscious level to avoid damaging their ego. However, the subconscious insists that they do. For example, if a mere patron is an authority, then individuals composing the three branches of government, wealthy businesspeople, are divine. Indeed, the truth lies in actions, I intend, as the multitude gives glory and follows.
The women’s rights movement led to higher tax revenues and earlier public-school enrollment for children. The movement did not emancipate women; instead, it made them nonpartisan slaves. The emancipation parable favors an illusion of integrity. To support the truth, however, wards disgrace.
It is easier to attract flies with honey than vinegar. Misplaced trust profits from yarns and public ignorance. Leaders sugarcoat or whitewash the pill and indebted followers swallow whole. So, a flagitious sodality feigns rectitude amid perversions such as Ukraine, Immigration, Afghanistan, Corona…
Nay, corridors of power shelter a select few. Hence, in the name of pride, the preponderance chooses ritual murder, sacrificing everything in their spiritual path (allied with those who resort to larceny (looting)—steeped in futility).
We are all fallen slaves. Muse on the spellbinder of recent memory. Before, the majority walked confidently. During, however, the same crept in fear. Now, in respite, confidence reruns. In 2020-21, Corona acted as a shovel-wielding resurrectionist, instigating the outbreak of humanity’s endemic state (unearthing noisome corpses from under heaps of lies). Let us remember ourselves, for the sake of coherence, for the short story passes time.
