Infernal Pretenses

Publics create not the operational structures within their societies. However, they look for administrators to deliver prosperity as though entitled, exalting candidates to the level of divines. Once matters go awry, a voter may exercise their inalienable “right to complain,” says the soft, stark American. Cohorts renew their worldly vows at the polls quadrennially, and having made that public declaration of faith, take leave to brave basal prospects. Shady politicians—cast as Olympians—shoulder the great load while the shaded rank-and-file concentrate on their tiny microcosms of life.

There is no substantive contribution from the hoi polloi—unless one regards slaving for possessions and the ensuing pandemonium. Wards do not pay taxes; the phrase implies it is optional and reeks of self-righteousness. Rather, dependents submit to compulsory monetary deductions (if voluntary, the United States would look quite different). Indeed, the administration extracts a tribute when somebody makes use of a dyke. Devotees do not weigh in on proposed legislation either; despite the ease one may do so given technological innovations. Rather, the ground swell engages in believism; theorizing the lot will turn out right anyhow somehow.

Curious how certain patrons derogate those they deem Christians (that is, according to their insubstantial definition) for placing trust in God, only to heap trust upon mere mortals. Every soul exudes faith; therefore, everyone is religious. A fraction worships the infinite God of creation, the majority worship finite creatures like themselves. Janissaries envisage varying morality as the pinnacle, while authentic Christians see the unvarying author of morality as supreme.

Indeed, only one God exists—the author of the universal conscience for right and wrong—and but one human race. Certain types insist that, given the ubiquity of cosmic space, other human federations exist. Posit the uniqueness of human life, I say, rather than dilute it! Conversely, we minimize our responsibilities and feign conspicuous truths are unconfirmed; a catalyst to pursue mischief. How ingenious.

Having built on sand, the pervious, flagging American abides in a state of shock, noting their trusted ministers have entrenched the nation in financial liability and ordained a population the measure of Los Angeles to surge over the southwest border. Either admit futility or suppress the truth (reinforce narcosis) conjuring an abstract stonewall surrounding venerated pride. Alas, the latter prevails. Scripture affirms the heart is wicked.

“Interrogating mortal guides is incumbent,” says the individual. To apple-polishers, however, questioning errant authorities is an act of evil. So, positivism overshadows intelligence with inevitable results.

Times have not changed, nor have humans. The same predictable, twisted self-motivation forms a sequence, or strand linking all generations.
